Course Objective: The trainee will be expected to have attained a level of operational skill, which will comply with the HSE code of practice L117
Course Content:
- Review of new and old legislation
- Health and safety at work act 1974
- Code of practice
- Principle of lifting
- Battery care
- Stability factors
- Principles of the truck
- Steering operations (forward and reverse)
- Steering operations (confined/open areas)
- Picking up, putting down, transporting pallets/ loads
- Stacking and de-stacking loads at high, eye and low level
- Assessment
- Usage in safety harness
Duration: 1-2 Days
Ratio: Maximum of 3 trainees per instructor per truck
Certification: National or In-House certificate available
