ADR - Hazardous Chemical Course

Designed for those operating a vehicle that legislation requires an ADR licence in order to legally carry dangerous goods.

This is a classroom based course over 5 days that culmintaes in an exam that is regulated and accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority. The course does not cover explosives or radioactive materials, however, these are available as an add on. The courses are based on a maximum of 16 people and held on a regular monthly basis.

CPC - Certificate of Professional Competence

A course designed for people who operate and manage the movement of vehicles (lorries - buses - coaches)

This is a classroom based course that is over 7 days for the National Qualification and 10 days for the International that includes the National.

The test is overseen and accredited by the OCR awarding body and is a UK based qualification. The tests are run only 4 times a year and so early registration is essential.

Working Time Directive

A course that can be an advantage to Managers, Transport Planners, Agency Consultants and drivers alike. Under the government's EU working time directive, the law states a peson may only work a certain number of hours or days per week.

This course is a simple and easy way to understand how this complex system works, how it affects you or your drivers and the rules around it.

Supervisor Awareness

This is a simple and easy course for warehouse supervisors to prevent and minimise accidents or damage to people and goods. With costs ever increasing, this method of prevention will give supervisors confidence in approaching subjects of safety, and keep up to date with the required legislation on fork lift trucks.

First Aid

The law states that every company must comply with legislation relating to Firts Aid at work. Mainstream run both the Appointed Persons, HSE First Aid and Refresher courses. These are an essential part of every company's system and valuable qualifications.

Standard and Digital Tachographs

Legislation states that operating a vehicle over a certain size that carries commercial goods, general cargo or passengers requires a tachograph. This course presents an overview of the rules concerning hours, breaks and rest periods.of both the standard and the new digital tachographs.

Lifting Equipment

An introductory course to enable a responsible person to control, issue and assess lifting equipment. The course covers the rules behind testing and recording, whilst evaluating the condition and suitability of everything from ropes and chains to slings and eye bolts.
