Designed for experienced drivers who have a current driving licence and have passed their Class 2 (Cat C)
Course Objective: The trainee will be expected to learn the way to drive, manoeuvre, reverse and park a large
goods vehicle in a number of varied situations. Perform routine safety checks, maintenance and inspections.
 Course Includes:
- Introduction to the course
- Introduction to the vehicle
- Basic manoeuvres
- Safety checks
- Maintenance inspection
- Driving
- Reversing
- Coupling / Uncoupling
- Practical and classroom tuition
- Tachographs
Duration: 5 Days
2 trainees per instructor per lorry
Practical test on final day of tuition
Please note: All drivers must be 21 years of age or over, meet medical requirements laid down by the
D.V.L.A., have passed a written theory test and hold entitlement on licence.
