3.5 - 7.5 Tonne Truck (Category C1)

Novice and experienced drivers
Course Objective: The trainee will be expected to learn the way to drive, manoeuvre, reverse and park a large
goods vehicle in a number of varied situations. Routine safety checks, maintenance and inspections.

Class 2 lorry training Course Content:

Introduction to the course
Introduction to the vehicle
Basic manoeuvres
Safety checks
Maintenance inspection
Driving / Reversing/ Parking
Highway code
Safe working loads (SWL)
Practical and classroom tuition
Tachographs

Ratio of 2 trainees per instructor per lorry.

Practical test on final day of tuition.

Please note: All delegates must be 21 years of age or over, meet medical requirements laid down by
D.V.L.A and passed a written theory test and Hold entitlement on licence.
