Designed for: Candidates who have little or no experience

Course Objective: The trainee will be expected to have attained a level of operational skill, which will comply with the HSE code of practice L117

Course Content:

• Review of new and old legislation
• Health and safety at work act 1974
• Code of practice
• Principle of lifting
• Battery care
• Stability factors
• Principles of the truck
• Steering operations (forward and reverse)
• Steering operations (confined/open areas)
• Picking up, putting down, transporting pallets/ loads
• Stacking and de-stacking loads at high, eye and low level
• Assessment
• Usage in safety harness

Duration: 1-2 Days

Ratio: Maximum of 3 trainees per instructor per truck

Certification: National or In-House certificate available
