10 Day Vehicle Recovery Systems Level 2 Course

This course is designed for persons wishing to gain or further their experience in vehicle recovery and vehicle rescue.

Course designed as part of a Level 2 NVQ in Plant Operations and a Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Fitting Principles. This equates to 3 units towards the Plant Operations and 2 units towards the Vehicle Fitting Principles.
Please note that 1 additional unit is needed for the full NVQ to be achieved in Plant Operations, with an additional 12 units to be achieved for the Vehicle Fitting Principles. This can only be completed on gaining employment.

Course runs Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm for a 10 day duration.

Personal protective equipmemnt is required and, in conjunction with Jobcentre Plus, will be provided.

	Tilt & Slide Certificate of Achievement Use of safe system to recover vehicles from the roadside using a roll-on/off tilt and slide lorry bed.		Lorry Loader (HIAB) National Certificate Operations of a vehicle lorry loader (HIAB) for the purpose of movement of goods for transportation.
	Winch Certificate of Achievement In conjunction with tilt and slide bed to recover a vehicle using and operating a winch.		Slinger/Signaller National Certificate Transportation of goods by the use of slinging and appropriate safety signals.
	Vehicle Restraint Certificate of Achievement Utilising straps with the objective of safely securing a vehicle for transport.		Drivers Hours & Digital Tachograph Certificate of Achievement A Driver CPC (7hr) element covering the driver hours and digital tachograph requirements.
	Manual Handling National Certificate To lift and move goods by hand in a correct and safe manner.
