Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (Genie Boom, Cherry Picker & Scissor Lift)

Designed for candidates who have no or little experience with operating an MEWP.

Course Objective: The trainee, on completion, will be expected to have attained a level of operating skill which will comply with standards laid down by 1974 HSE directives.

• Starting, moving and stopping the machine
• Steering operations in confined and open areas
• Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
• Pre-Checks
• Safe working loads
• Safety equipment for MEWP

• Theory Test

Ratio: Maximum 4 Trainees per instructor per MEWP
